Looking into the possibility of settlement on Mars. Students will discuss how potatoes could be grown on the Red Planet. Students will work to think of and experiment with non-soil substrates to plant their potatoes at home and observe how they grow compared to soil.
Alden helps with the school garden program at Lafayette Elementary in (sometimes) sunny West Seattle. She loves to help the kids get their hands on nature, from worm bins to hydroponic basil. When not at school she can be found in her own garden or exploring the coast with her family and lovable golden doodle.
