For this investigation we will create a habitat within a sealed glass jar, into which we will place a small community of plants. Part 1 includes the background information on creating a micro-ecosystem!

Alden helps with the school garden program at Lafayette Elementary in (sometimes) sunny West Seattle. She loves to help the kids get their hands on nature, from worm bins to hydroponic basil. When not at school she can be found in her own garden or exploring the coast with her family and lovable golden doodle.
