Mission-to-Mars-5.jpg

Students will read Nefertiti the Spidernaut and learn about why we need to study mini beasts in space. Students are then tasked with designing a carrier to house the insects on shuttle missions.

Alden Alvarado

Alden helps with the school garden program at Lafayette Elementary in (sometimes) sunny West Seattle. She loves to help the kids get their hands on nature, from worm bins to hydroponic basil. When not at school she can be found in her own garden or exploring the coast with her family and lovable golden doodle.
