We read the great book Buzzing with Questions and learned about bees! At our school this was coordinated with the science unit and the kids had bees on a stick that we took outside and practiced “pollinating.”

Alden helps with the school garden program at Lafayette Elementary in (sometimes) sunny West Seattle. She loves to help the kids get their hands on nature, from worm bins to hydroponic basil. When not at school she can be found in her own garden or exploring the coast with her family and lovable golden doodle.
