This week and last the classes learned all about how plants adapt to the environment (and the seasons) by having their leaves change color and then falling to the ground. Kids went on leaf hunts, used adjectives to describe their leaves and made leaf art of what they were thankful for! So many were excited to do more art at home over the Thanksgiving break.

Alden helps with the school garden program at Lafayette Elementary in (sometimes) sunny West Seattle. She loves to help the kids get their hands on nature, from worm bins to hydroponic basil. When not at school she can be found in her own garden or exploring the coast with her family and lovable golden doodle.
