Students will learn the term mini beast and why we use it instead of bug. We will examine the mini beasts from the garden kit and decide if it is an insect or an arachnid as we list the differences and similarities between the two species.
Alden helps with the school garden program at Lafayette Elementary in (sometimes) sunny West Seattle. She loves to help the kids get their hands on nature, from worm bins to hydroponic basil. When not at school she can be found in her own garden or exploring the coast with her family and lovable golden doodle.
