The kickoff lesson for this series will start with the book Evelyn the Adventurous Entomologist based on the true story of Evyelyn Chessman. Students will then learn interesting facts about various insects and identify where they live on a map.
Alden helps with the school garden program at Lafayette Elementary in (sometimes) sunny West Seattle. She loves to help the kids get their hands on nature, from worm bins to hydroponic basil. When not at school she can be found in her own garden or exploring the coast with her family and lovable golden doodle.
